A 47-year-old Afghan national, Nazira Hazi Zada, has been deported from the United States after confessing to her involvement in a terrorism conspiracy. According to details released by the US Department of Justice, Hazi Zada admitted in court to being an "alien terrorist." She was implicated in a scheme to carry out mass shootings on US Election Day in 2024, a plot reportedly instigated by the extremist group ISIS.
Her son and son-in-law had previously been apprehended, convicted, and sentenced for their participation in the same elaborate scheme.
US Attorney General Todd Blanche hailed the outcome of the case as a significant triumph for both national security and the rule of law. He emphasized that individuals who support terrorism would not be tolerated or permitted to reside within the borders of the United States.
