The careers of both Maya and Nadia Khan have been similar in many aspects. Both started their careers very young on national television as hosts, both acted in TV plays when they reached adolescence and both became successful morning show hosts as they grew old. Sadly, they both got carried away with the huge fan-following they garnered and forgot the meaning of morning show in their race towards better ratings!

Nadia Khan tried to do Jerry Springer in Dubai where she went out of the way (with a camera, of course!) to defend her friend (and now a successful morning show host) and actress Noor who wanted to leave her husband because he was a non-Muslim. Noor shouldn’t have gotten married to the guy in the first place, but since she realized her mistake after nearly an year, she had the right to demand a divorce. But Nadia Khan had no right to shoot the public spat between the couple and make it very public. According to sources, the popular Nadia Khan Show was disbanded soon and the ‘clash with the couples’ played an integral part in the fall of Nadia Khan.

Maya Khan, who took over as a morning show host as one of the many Nadia Khan replacements on a private TV channel, met a fate similar to her counterpart. She started inviting divorced women on her show along with their lawyers as well as her ‘in-house experts’ (of what????) where they would call the ex husband and taunt him into revealing the private details of their now public divorce. She went crazy when one of the husbands told her flatly that sharif log TV par nahi aatay, which was partly correct.

She then went a step ahead and burst into a beauty parlour to investigate whether the parlour was being used for illicit activities or not. She then started a Bach Kay Rehnasegment where helpless mothers/wives asked Maya Khan and her team to find out where their daughter/husbands go after college/work. As we all know, her Sherlock-Holmes-behaviour only shamed her because all those who saw those programs hated it. But did that stop Ms Khan from touching rock-bottom? No it didn’t as she went overboard and burst into a park where we all know what happened. She clashed with couples, demanding theirnikaah-namas and then termed the majority of public as shameless entities.

The ‘clash with the couples’ woke up the sleeping public who posted Maya Khan’s shameless pictures on Facebook and showed their displeasure by making her ‘Public Enemy #1′, a title Veena Malik held before her. Now she is the most hated of people in the media industry and everyone – from her ex employers (who terminated her contract as well as her team’s for not apologizing properly) to her ardent viewers - want to distance themselves from Maya Khan, also knows as Pyar Ki Dushman in social circles!

Veena said, “While reading Baghavad Gita it makes you feel relax and subtle. It shows you the spiritual path which seemed very difficult for human beings but fixed your goal in life. I feel like there should be no boundaries in believing or having faith on other religion. I read Quran daily offers Namaz because I have a faith on him and after reading Baghavad Gita, I can say that there is no difference in any religion they all shows the right path.”

ATIF ASLAM SIGNS A CONTRACT WITH YASH RAJ FILMS!!!

Aslam, who has given marvelous tracks to various Bollywood movies, seems to be still high in demand as he is getting new alluring offers from B-town. Albeit, Atif has been more a TIPS boy, but this time around he has scored a singing contract from Yash Raj Films.

According to sources, Atif Aslam will be doing vocals for the new Yash Raj Film, ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’. Alongside Atif Aslam, Mika Singh too has been taken on board for singing the movie tracks and the music director is none other than Sachin Gupta – who also produced Atif’s second album ‘Doorie’.

The genre of the movie is comedy and the star cast is all new.

MAYA KHAN - NOW PRESENTING A HALF-BAKED APOLOGY

According to a noticeably distraught Maya Khan, all the people that she raided during her morning shot were supposedly paid actors. She goes as far as claiming that the entire episode was scripted. Maya said, “ The idea was to highlight the issue ‘unethical activities’ that are taking place in ours parks”.

She further added when she was inquired that why she conducted such a program in the first place that she had received several complaints from worried parents who were concerned about such ‘immoral activies’

Unethical? Immoral? This woman has clearly lost all sense, I ask this what is so wrong with two ‘couple’ for a lack of a better term, to go about taking a stroll in a park? Or to over exaggerate the ordeal initiate some intimate activities? If two people feel somewhat emotionally attached with one another; then there is nothing wrong with letting them expressing it in any way of their choosing.

Even if talk in a more legal context, the couple weren’t really seen doing anything ‘indecent’ in the public place, so no one including the authorities can question their relationship or what not. This is no different than a raging ‘mullah’ spreading the so called teachings of islam by bombing mosques.

If this goes on who knows what other forms of vigilantism we will get to see in the future. At the present it is raiding innocent people in public places and maybe in the near future it will be merciless killings of the minorities or persecution of people for having their own set of beliefs… Oh wait a second that is already happening!!

Our protagonist goes as far as saying that SHE was never given chance to present her side of the story. She inquires, “What was the rest of the media trying to achieve by repeatedly airing clips of my show? Where were the media ethics when people showed my wedding pictures…and did shows pointing fingers at my character? Hey Maya, at least they didn’t bash into your home on your wedding night, a stunt the likes of you would have definitely pulled off.

Calling herself a popular morning show host, Maya asked, “Is there no difference between a sin and a mistake?” .

“I have been under house arrest ever since the media outcry against my show started. I am abused through phone calls, text messages and via Facebook,” she complained.
Well in the end, Maya simply said “leaving aside what I did was wrong or not, I ask for forgiveness from my fans: I am really, very, very sorry.”

For some reason I cannot make myself come to accept such a half baked apology.
