URDU TITLE:
ENGLISH ARTICLE:
A decapitated body discovered in the fields of Manawan, Lahore, has been identified as Robin Masih. Police are investigating the case as a suspected honor killing.
The identification process was successfully completed by the Punjab Safe Cities Authority's "Meri Pehchan" team, which utilized advanced biometric systems to confirm the victim's fingerprints.
According to police statements, Robin Masih had reportedly eloped with a woman approximately 16 years ago. More recently, he is believed to have re-established contact with the same woman. This renewed relationship allegedly caused resentment among the woman's sons. Investigators suspect that these sons are responsible for Robin Masih's murder, after which they allegedly disposed of his body in the fields.
Authorities have registered a case regarding the incident and have since apprehended the alleged perpetrators. Following the completion of necessary legal procedures, the body will be released to Robin Masih's family.
