According to affected individuals, when they visit NADRA centers to fulfill travel requirements, they are presented with inflated charges under various heads. Some pilgrims allege that the fees demanded are several times more than the fixed government rates. This situation is causing considerable distress, particularly for elderly pilgrims and women, who find themselves burdened by these unexpected and unjustified expenses.
Specific details highlight a stark disparity: the combined official fee for the influenza vaccination (PKR 1,720) and the meningitis vaccination (PKR 2,785) totals PKR 4,505, as per information available through the Pak-ID app. However, pilgrims are reportedly being asked to pay up to PKR 7,000 for these very vaccinations at NADRA centers.
Victims of this alleged overcharging are demanding immediate intervention from relevant authorities. They urge that official fee structures for all services, including vaccinations, be prominently displayed at NADRA facilitation centers to ensure transparency and inform citizens of the exact amounts they are required to pay. Furthermore, they insist that a proper government receipt must be issued for every payment. متاثرہ شہریوں کے مطابق جب وہ بیرونِ ملک سفر کی تیاری کے لیے نادرا سہولت مراکز پر پہنچتے ہیں تو انہیں مختلف مدوں میں غیر ضروری اضافی فیس بتائی جاتی ہے۔ بعض زائرین کا دعویٰ ہے کہ سرکاری فیس کے مقابلے میں کئی گنا زیادہ رقوم وصول کی جا رہی ہیں، جس سے عمرہ زائرین، بالخصوص بزرگ شہریوں اور خواتین کو شدید مشکلات کا سامنا ہے۔
دستیاب معلومات کے مطابق، پاک آئی ڈی ایپ کے تحت انفلوئنزا ویکسینیشن کی سرکاری فیس 1,720 روپے اور گردن توڑ بخار (میننجائٹس) کی ویکسین کی فیس 2,785 روپے ہے، جو کل 4,505 روپے بنتی ہے۔ تاہم، ان نادرا سینٹرز پر ویکسینیشن کے لیے زائرین سے 7 ہزار روپے تک وصول کیے جا رہے ہیں، جو سرکاری شرح سے نمایاں طور پر زیادہ ہے۔
