A traditional dispute resolution council, known as a Jirga, tragically turned violent in Lakki Marwat, resulting in the death of one individual. The incident, which involved a fatal shooting, took place within the confines of the Pizo Police Station area.
Police officials confirmed the identity of the deceased as Molvi Waliullah, son of Hayatullah, a resident of Sharbi Khel, Lakki Marwat, who was currently residing in Akora Khattak.
The Jirga had been convened to mediate a long-standing disagreement between Molvi Waliullah and Sufyan, son of Zahoor Khan, hailing from Mehrabi village in the Dera Ismail Khan district. The core of their conflict reportedly stemmed from accusations against Sufyan concerning his alleged involvement in unlawful *tawizat* (charms or amulets) related to women.
The meeting to resolve the dispute was held at the *baithak* (a traditional sitting area) of Nazim Farooq Khan in Darra Pizo. Mediators present to facilitate the dialogue included Molvi Abdul Ghani from Jamia Halimia, representing Molvi Waliullah's side, and Abdul Rahman Chuar Khel, who spoke on behalf of the opposing party.
During the proceedings, an argument between Sufyan and Molvi Waliullah quickly escalated into a heated exchange. It is alleged that Sufyan then brandished a pistol and opened fire, critically wounding Molvi Waliullah. He was immediately being rushed to Dera Ismail Khan for urgent medical treatment, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries near the D.I. Khan bazaar, failing to reach the hospital.
Pizo Police have registered a case based on the complaint filed by Shams-ul-Islam, the son of the deceased, and have launched a thorough investigation into the matter. Efforts are presently underway to apprehend the accused, Sufyan.

لکی مروت میں روایتی جرگے کے دوران ایک تنازع اس قدر شدت اختیار کر گیا کہ فائرنگ کے نتیجے میں ایک شخص جاں بحق ہو گیا۔ یہ دلخراش واقعہ تھانہ پیزو کی حدود میں پیش آیا۔
پولیس کے مطابق، مقتول کی شناخت مولوی ولی اللہ ولد حیات اللہ کے نام سے ہوئی ہے، جو شرابی خیل، لکی مروت کے رہائشی اور فی الحال اکوڑہ خٹک میں مقیم تھے۔
جرگے کا انعقاد مولوی ولی اللہ اور ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان کے گاؤں مہرابی سے تعلق رکھنے والے سفیان ولد ظہور خان کے درمیان جاری جھگڑے کو حل کرنے کے لیے کیا گیا تھا۔ بتایا جاتا ہے کہ دونوں کے درمیان یہ تنازع مستورات پر مبینہ ناجائز تعویزات کرنے کے معاملے پر چل رہا تھا۔
صلح کی یہ کوشش درہ پیزو میں ناظم فاروق خان کی بیٹھک میں جاری تھی۔ جرگے میں ثالثوں کے طور پر جامعہ حلیمیہ کے مولوی عبدالغنی، جو مولوی ولی اللہ کے فریق کی نمائندگی کر رہے تھے، اور عبدالرحمن چوارخیل، جو مخالف فریق کے ثالث مقرر تھے، بھی موجود تھے۔

پیزو پولیس نے مقتول کے بیٹے شمس الاسلام کی مدعیت میں مقدمہ درج کر کے واقعے کی تفتیش شروع کر دی ہے، اور ملزم سفیان کی گرفتاری کے لیے کارروائی جاری ہے۔
